Beatles Classics On Classical GuitarAbout this Album “Beatles Classics on Classical Guitar” is a union of 2 musical passions: Timeless rock/pop music & solo fingerstyle guitar playing. The Beatles were one of the main bands I grew up with and I’ve been humming the melodies of these songs for as long as I can remember. After getting Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Classical Guitar Performance, I decided to “test the waters” of arranging rock/pop songs for solo classical guitar. Many of these arrangements were tweaked over & over again for extended periods of time, and this CD is the fruit of those labors. These arrangements were completed over a 2.5 year span from late 2010 – mid 2013 (I completed over 75 arrangements of other songs in the meantime, due to client requests for my wedding gigs). When deciding what songs to arrange, I strived to maintain a balance in every which way - Era, songwriter(s), tempo, and more. Basically, I wanted to have a “While My Guitar Gently Weeps” for every “I Saw Her Standing There”. This is also reflected in the track listing – I decided against ordering the songs chronologically in order to provide a more balanced listening experience. I hope that you enjoy my classical guitar spin on these timeless songs.
